Our fun-loving education staff are not only skilled beaders and talented jewelry designers, they are also patient and kind-hearted teachers. Our class guidelines are:

Classes are limited to a small group, and tend to fill up quickly. Register early.
We accept payment upon registration, in order to reserve your spot in the class. You can register in person at Bead World or we can accept your registration and credit card payment over the phone.
Classes are 100% refundable up to 24 hours before the class begins. After that, classes are non-refundable.
Class fees include all materials used in the class. Students may not substitute other beads or materials in the class, as this disrupts the flow of the instruction. Please keep in mind that the classes are designed to best educate a group of students, empowering you to create your own fabulous designs in the future.

Introduction to Bead Stringing

Cost $30.00 (materials included)
Level: Beginner

This is the first class a new beader should invest in taking. Learn all about the many kinds of beads and stringing materials and tools. You'll make a beautiful Swarovski crystal and sterling silver bracelet. All materials are included. This class takes place at Bead World Phoenix.

Introduction to Wire Wrapping

Level: Beginner

Learn the technique used in all kinds of fashion jewelry, connecting chains, beads and dangles. You’ll create a sparkly pair of Swarovski crystal and sterling silver earrings and a stylish gemstone pendant, and you’ll walk away with an understanding of how to work successfully with hard wires. Flower Chain Maille Bracelet

Intermediate Wire Working

Cost $50 (materials included)
Level: Intermediate Wire

Take your wire wrapping skills to a new level! Learn the basic techniques necessary to free form toggles, hook and eye closures, "S" hooks, "V" ear wires and charms. Students will compelte several closures, discuss customizatin techniques and practice work hardening finished silver pieces. You must be very comfortable with wire wrapping to take this class. All materials are included. This class takes place at Bead World Phoenix.

Intro to the Torch: Making Headpins and Pinning Elements

Cost $50 (materials included)
Level: Beginning Silver Smithing/Advanced Wire

This fun and easy introduction to working with fire teaches the basic elements of working with a small butane torch to make ball end headpins. We'll discuss fueling the torch and lighting it, safely handling sterling silver in fire, and using sterling silver's natural melting properties to secure elements through pinning procedures. You'll finish a simple wire wrapped and pinned ring. You must be very comfortable working with wire to take this class. You may not complete this project in class. Pre Chain Maille Cha Cha Bracelet

Get ready to learn all of our exciting chain maille weaves by taking this fun and easy pre-chain maille class. Learn how to use two pairs of pliers to open and close jump rings flawlessly. Leave with a completed, gorgeous sterling silver and borosilicate glass drop bracelet. All materials included. This project may not be completed in class. PMC Carved Earrings and Pendant

Cost $85 (materials included)
Level: Beginner PMC

Why have jewelry like everyone else? Try this interesting twist on fine silver Precious Metal Clay -- carve into the dried clay to create free form funky designs. You'll create a coordinated earring and pendant set, fire them in Bead World's kiln, patina and polish them eny way you like. You'll leave with a complete set of earrings and a leather necklace with your striking silver pendant.There will be an extended firing break (1 1/2 to 2 hours) during the class. Evoke love knots with this delicate and feminine version of chain maille, featuring interlinked flower-like fleurettes woven out of sterling silver jump rings and a colorful focal bead of American cane glass.
